POSITION SUMMARY: The Quality Manager will support the maintenance and ongoing development of the quality management system to ensure products and services meet customer requirements and exceed expectations.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement and manage project specific QA/QC Programs.
Review and approve trade contractor QA/QC Programs to ensure alignment with GC and Owner Program Requirements.
Manage, schedule, and coordinate Quality Team (including QAQC Field Engineer(s).
Manage Quality Team to ensure high performance and integration with the overall project.
Conduct Meetings: including QAQC Meeting and Quality Team Meeting.
Ensure all subcontractors are following their approved QA/QC Plans.
Oversee/Perform onsite inspections including Earthwork, Shoring, Concrete, Mechanical, Electrical and Utilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Standing/Walking/Sitting: Workday is combination of sitting/walking and standing.
Legs: Must be able to climb stairs and walk long distances - 15% of day.
Hands/Arms: Constant use of hands/fingers for mouse/keyboard/computer use.
Vision: Visual acuity in near, mid and far range vision. Color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, hand/eye coordination.
Hearing: Sufficient to hear conversational levels in person and over the telephone and radio; sufficient to hear alarms on equipment.
Speech: Sufficient to make oneself heard in person, speak in front of large groups, and be understood over video conference, telephone, and radio.
Lift/Carry: Up to 40lb computer/drawings- minimal.
Bending/Twisting: Minimal.
Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling: Minimal.
QUALIFICATIONS:
7 years Construction QA/QC experience in the above areas.
Prior experience managing team members.
Knowledge and experience with Electrical, Plumbing, CSA, and Commissioning.
Must be able to multitask, adaptable to fast paced environment.
Must work well with owners, tradespeople, trade contractors and team members.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (word, excel, outlook, office 365, MS Team, etc.).
Must have working knowledge and competency in Field Management Software (BIM360 Field, Procore, Latista, etc.).
Constant mental alertness, accuracy, and attention to detail required.
Must be able to work independently, make decisions, and follow through on all assignments.
Must use creativity, independent judgment, and organizational and problem-solving skills to determine best method to accomplish desired results.
Must be able to plan and organize work.
Must possess strong organizational and computer use skills and have a high level of competency to read/write/speak English, interpret construction related documentation and communicate with coworkers.
