POSITION SUMMARY: The Quality Manager will support the maintenance and ongoing development of the quality management system to ensure products and services meet customer requirements and exceed expectations.


PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement and manage project specific QA/QC Programs.

  • Review and approve trade contractor QA/QC Programs to ensure alignment with GC and Owner Program Requirements.

  • Manage, schedule, and coordinate Quality Team (including QAQC Field Engineer(s).

  • Manage Quality Team to ensure high performance and integration with the overall project.

  • Conduct Meetings: including QAQC Meeting and Quality Team Meeting.

  • Ensure all subcontractors are following their approved QA/QC Plans.

  • Oversee/Perform onsite inspections including Earthwork, Shoring, Concrete, Mechanical, Electrical and Utilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Standing/Walking/Sitting: Workday is combination of sitting/walking and standing.

  • Legs: Must be able to climb stairs and walk long distances - 15% of day.

  • Hands/Arms: Constant use of hands/fingers for mouse/keyboard/computer use.

  • Vision: Visual acuity in near, mid and far range vision. Color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, hand/eye coordination.

  • Hearing: Sufficient to hear conversational levels in person and over the telephone and radio; sufficient to hear alarms on equipment.

  • Speech: Sufficient to make oneself heard in person, speak in front of large groups, and be understood over video conference, telephone, and radio.

  • Lift/Carry: Up to 40lb computer/drawings- minimal.

  • Bending/Twisting: Minimal.

  • Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling: Minimal.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7 years Construction QA/QC experience in the above areas.

  • Prior experience managing team members.

  • Knowledge and experience with Electrical, Plumbing, CSA, and Commissioning.

  • Must be able to multitask, adaptable to fast paced environment.

  • Must work well with owners, tradespeople, trade contractors and team members.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (word, excel, outlook, office 365, MS Team, etc.).

  • Must have working knowledge and competency in Field Management Software (BIM360 Field, Procore, Latista, etc.).

  • Constant mental alertness, accuracy, and attention to detail required.

  • Must be able to work independently, make decisions, and follow through on all assignments.

  • Must use creativity, independent judgment, and organizational and problem-solving skills to determine best method to accomplish desired results.

  • Must be able to plan and organize work.

  • Must possess strong organizational and computer use skills and have a high level of competency to read/write/speak English, interpret construction related documentation and communicate with coworkers.
